The PA-MLF48A-P-Z-02 probing adapter from Ironwood Electronics allows quick prototyping of MLF/QFN packaged ICs. It comes with a clam-shell ZIF socket that provides easy access to all signals and simplifies IC swap out. The adapter interfaces the 48-position MLF/QFN ZIF socket to a 0.100〃 center pin grid array. PA-MLF48A-P-Z-02 is constructed with gold plated solder-tail machined pins for reliability when the adapter is socketed. Optionally, the adapters can be supplied with wire-wrap pins so the prototype can be built on very inexpensive wire-wrap panels.
